Welcome to Month 10 of the Bohemian Born Quilt Along! We’re so glad you’re here!
This month we’re doing a small block row of 12 with a striped and appliqué. It’s similar to Row 5 but with another appliqué circle.
Month 10 Assignment
Row 10 instructions are found on page 25 of the Bohemian Born pattern.
Here’s what Row 10 entails: 1. Cutting (or gathering if you precut) the rectangles and squares. 2. Cutting the curves. 3. Piecing the Background/Arch units. 4. Piecing and trimming the blocks. 5. Appliquéing the circles. 6. Finishing the Blocks. 7. Assembling the row.
Fabric Cutting
Supplies needed: Row 10 Fabric The Junior (Small) Template Set
The fabric is first cut into rectangles and squares, then the curves are cut using the Junior (Small) template set when we’re ready to sew.
If you choose your fabric row-by-row, for Row 10, you need: Fabric 5 – leftover from Month 9 Fabric 9 – 15″ x wof (width of fabric) Fabric 14 – 8″ x wof Fabric 15 -17″ x wof
The fabric numbers correspond to the numbers on the diagram on page 9 of your pattern. Cut your rectangles and squares according to the dimensions given in the first column under “Gather the Pre-Cut Fabric” on page 25.
Organization Label everything carefully by using stickers or pinning a piece of paper on each stack with the information on it.
Making Row 10
Row 10 is made of 12 small blocks with stripe and appliqué.
Step-by-step instructions to make the row are on page 25 of the pattern.
Each step takes you through detailed instructions with diagrams to make each section of the blocks. If you need additional help, we have video tutorials for every step. You can access those below and on our YouTube channel. You can subscribe to our channel while you’re there so you don’t miss any of our video tutorials.
