Sewing Notions Series Patterns – The Perfect Addition to Your Sewing Room

Are you looking for a fun way to decorate your sewing space? Let us introduce our Sewing Notions Series to you!

The series is a collection of five quilts, and they are the cutest sewing notions you’ve ever seen! Scissors, rotary cutters, seam rippers, bobbins, and pins – all our favorites.

These beauties are foundation paper pieced so they are scrap friendly and easily customizable to fit any decor. Make them in the rainbow like we did, or make them in your favorite color. Anything goes!

Each one is sold separately or we have a download-only bundle – get all 5 for $80. That’s $10 off! So get the one you love most, or get them all! Your sewing room will never look better! Scroll down to see each quilt and click it to buy the pattern.

Note: Rita the Ripper and Bonnie the Bobbin were previously released, so if you already have those patterns don’t get this version – they are the same just with a different cover.

Choosing Fabric For Your Project

The fabric requirements listed on the back of the patterns are a starting point. We give you the minimums you need, but go crazy from there! Add in all you want – more is better with paper piecing.

Shop your stash first. Look for interesting prints in the colors you want. The backgrounds have 3 or 4 of the same color in different shades. Audition them side-by-side so you can see the difference in value. This is also the time to eliminate the ones that don’t work with the other fabrics. This can take some time, but it’s also a fun part of the process!

Also look for Easter eggs to add in. Do you have a print with scissors on them? That might be fun to include. Do you have a print with a face on it? Having the face peek out from behind the handles of the scissors, rotary cutter, or seam ripper could be cute! Play, experiment and have fun with it! The more personalized it is the more you’ll love it when it’s hanging on your wall!

When we said anything goes with fabric selection, we meant it! Look this set of the notions we made in all solids – we love the more modern aesthetic. Making them in solids gives it a pop art feel and lets you explore color and value in a different way.
